How to Serve Baked Brie
The first way you could serve this appetizer is by putting on a holiday charcuterie board. This will give variety to your appetizer so there is something for everyone of your guests. A holiday charcuterie board also provides many different dipping options and combos for the baked brie. Put the baked brie in the center of the board to make it the star of the show!
Another way to serve baked brie is simple with a toasted baguette. It doesn’t get much better than creamy, warm, melty cheese and a toasty baguette. Don’t underestimate something that is simple.
This third way is also very simple. But, having a variety of different kinds of crackers to add some crunch yet still different kinds of flavor would go well. Add some wine or a fun drink and you have the perfect appetizer!
FAQs
Do you take the rind off brie before baking?
The rind on brie is actually edible. Not only that, it helps provide the cheese with a deeper and stronger flavor. Keeping the rind also provides a surface to put the jam and nuts on. What’s better than opening up the brie and seeing the cheese inside nice and soft anyway? So, the answer is, no don’t take the rind off before baking brie cheese.
How long do you leave brie in the oven?
The amount of time you leave brie cheese in the oven depends on how melty you want it to be. I did mine for about 15 minutes. The cheese was soft and gooey, but it wasn’t super melted to the point of it being runny. For a runnier consistency, leave in for more like 25-30 minutes.
Should you score the top of brie before baking?
Yes, you should score the top of brie before baking, as we do in this recipe. Scoring the top of the cheese looks like using a knife to make slits going from side to side as well as top to bottom. Doing this helps encourage good and even melting.
Is brie cheese an acquired taste?
An important question to ask yourself if you have never had brie before. Brie is more of an acquired taste. You may not like it the first time you eat it. It is not really a snacking type of cheese like cheddar cheese. Although, after a few times of eating it, you will come to get used to and love the taste of it.

How to Make Baked Brie Step-by-Step
Before we assemble the brie, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. As well as line a small baking dish or baking sheet with parchment paper.
To start, use a knife to make slits going across the top of the brie. Create slits going from top to bottom as well as side to side. After you are done the top should look like a checkerboard. This will help create even melting within the cheese.
Next, spread the jam evenly on top.
On top of the jam, add the roughly chopped walnuts.
Place the brie in the lined baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. For a meltier, more runny cheese, baking for 25-30 minutes.
Serve while hot with bread, crackers, or on a charcuterie board!

- Serve immediately out of the oven while it is still hot. Serve with bread, crackers, or on a charcuterie board. Enjoy!
