This coffee gift basket is full of all the goodies that the coffee lover in your family would be so happy to receive!
As we know, December is the month of gift giving. I don’t know about you, but it’s easy to run out of ideas. Especially when you have multiple families to get gifts for.
The theme of the past few blog posts has been that homemade gifts are some of the best to receive! Now, I fully stand by that statement. Although sometimes you just don’t have the time to fully DIY a gift.
When that is the case, gift baskets are the way to go! The different themes you could do with gift baskets are truly endless. You could do a hot cocoa gift basket, a bread gift basket, or a breakfast in bed gift basket.
Gift baskets are great because you can personalize them by picking out a basket or box that you know the person receiving it would love, and you can also pick what goes in it. But you don’t have to DIY everything that goes in the basket. You can leave that part up to the grocery stores!

What to Add into Your Coffee Gift Basket
- Coffee Grounds
Whether it’s Starbucks coffee or from a local coffee shop, the flavors and options are endless!
- Coffee Beans
Maybe the person you are gifting the basket to loves grinding their own coffee beans. Getting them good quality coffee beans will make them ecstatic!
- A Mug or Two
You can never go wrong with a cute mug (or two)! Mugs are so customizable. It’s so easy to find one that fits any personality and style out there!
- Coffee Gadgets
Consider adding coffee spoons, a frother, or a coffee scoop to the basket.
- A Sweet Treat
Drinking your favorite beverage with a sweet treat is a great feeling. Some treats that go great with coffee are Ferrero Rocher Chocolates, Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Cookies, Rip Van Wafels (these would also go great in a tea gift basket), and Milano Dark Chocolate Cookies.
- A Travel Cup
We all know the times are busy. Sometimes you just don’t have time to enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the couch snuggled up in a blanket. Getting a high-quality travel cup is always loved by anyone and everyone!
- Coasters
You can never go wrong with some cute coasters! You could even make personalized coasters.
- A Book
Add a book or a morning devotional to the gift basket that the receiver can enjoy reading as they enjoy their warm cup of coffee.
- A Recipe Card
If the person you are giving the gift basket to loves to bake, give them a recipe card that calls for brewed coffee in it.
- A Gift Card
Maybe the person you are giving this coffee gift basket to has a favorite local coffee shop or breakfast place. A gift card would be a lovely addition. Nothing says I appreciate you like “go get a coffee, this ones on me.”
FAQs
How do I make a gift basket look luxurious?
There are simple touches you can add to a gift basket that really elevate the look of it. For example, adding a bow that is made out of satin ribbon can add an expensive feel. You could also add a personalized tag. Not only would that give it a luxury feel but it would also make it extra personal and special for the one receiving the gift basket.
How many items should be in a gift basket?
For a small gift basket, typically 4-5 items fill it well! For a medium sized one, the suggested number of items is 7-8. Lastly, for a large gift basket, we suggest you choose about 10 or more items to fill it.
How do I make a gift basket look fuller?
To make your gift basket look full, add in fillers. This can look like tissue paper, crumbled paper, and fresh greenery/flowers. If you elevate the items to the top of the basket by adding crumbled paper or bubble wrap to the bottom, it will help with fullness as well.
How to Fill a Coffee Gift Basket Step-by-Step
To start, fill the bottom of your basket if it is deep. This will ensure the things you add into the basket will stand up nice and tall. Doing this will help make your basket look full.
Next, add the tallest items in the back of the basket, arranging them nicely. To mine, I added the coffee grounds to the back as well as a jar full of coffee beans.
Now, to the front of the basket in front of the tall items, add in the smaller items. For my coffee basket, I added a simple mug and some festive cloth napkins to the front.
Lastly, add in the filler items. My filler items were little chocolates and candy canes. I also added in some fresh greenery to make it extra Christmas like.
To make it even more festive, you can add in some bows here and there or even a nice big bow on the front!
