This easy quiche recipe is made with an oil based crust and is full of sausage, green peppers, and cheese! You’ll want to have this not just for breakfast, but for lunch and dinner as well!
Alright guys, I have been keeping a secret for a while now that I’m finally ready to tell… I’m a mom! Not just any mom, but a mom to chickens haha!
So, my husband and I recently invested in chickens a couple months ago. I had them growing up and loved taking care of them and he wanted to know the joy of them as well! We love them so much and definitely recommend them to other people!
However, with 6 chickens comes lots and lots of eggs. Especially for just my husband and I. So, I am always looking for ways to use up the loads of eggs we have sitting on our counter and in the fridge.
Quiche is one of my favorite recipes to make. I like to think of it as my “fridge clean out recipe.” You can really add whatever you want into it. I usually look in my fridge and see what I need to use up and add that!
Although, one of my favorite breakfast wraps is a western wrap with green peppers and sausage, so that was the inspiration behind this recipe.
Let’s make this yummy quiche together!

How to Make an Easy Quiche Step-by-Step
Start by making the crust and pressing that into your pie pan. I used the Brick House on Green recipe for an oil based crust!
Once the crust is pressed into your pie pan, we’re ready to start on the actual quiche part!
For the quiche, start by cooking the sausage or meat of your choice. Once fully cooked, set aside.
Next, dice up the green peppers and onions.
Thirdly, whisk together the milk and the eggs. Season them with salt and pepper.
Now that the fillings for the quiche are prepped. It is time to put it all together. Start by pouring your meat, and diced onions and peppers into your crusted pie pan.
Pour the egg and milk mixture over top of the peppers, onions, and sausage.
Next, sprinkle the quiche with shredded cheese.
Bake the quiche for about an hour or until the middle is set. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

FAQ:
What are the ingredients for a quiche?
The main ingredients for a quiche are milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and desired fillings. Those fillings consist of veggies and meats.
Is it necessary to prebake crust for a quiche?
Baking the crust for a quiche is not needed. While the crust on top of the pie pan may get slightly dry, the crust that is covered by the filling will remain moist. The crust will not get to the point of becoming soggy. At least not if you use the oil based crust!
Can I use milk instead of heavy cream for quiche?
Absolutely! People often think to use heavy cream because it helps things set and firm up. Which is true. Although, milk does that just as well in a quiche. It does it even better if there is shredded cheese involved because you’ll get more fat from that!
