While it can all be made the day-of, the ingredients can easily be prepped ahead of time, too. I'm down for any recipe that saves me time in the future!
You'll love the crisp, juicy zing and flavor from the chicken tenders as well as our delicious homemade caesar dressing. A chicken caesar wrap is basically a caesar salad (check out our recipe if you haven't yet) in sandwich form!
Chicken Caesar Wrap
Made with shredded romaine lettuce, crispy and seasoned croutons, parmesan cheese, and homemade creamy Caesar dressing. All of these ingredients are rolled into a homemade tortilla. A great lunch or even dinner option!
Ingredients
- FOR THE SALAD
- 4 cups Romain lettuce finely chopped
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup croutons store bought or homemade
- FOR THE CAESAR DRESSING
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 tbs olive oil
- salt and pepper
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon mustard
- 3 tbs parmesan cheese
- 1 garlic clove
- salt and pepper to taste
Other
- 4 tortillas
- 1 lb chicken tenders
Instructions
- To start, prepare the lettuce by cutting off the ends of the head, chopping it finely, and rinsing it thoroughly. Then, lay on a towel to dry as we do the rest of the recipe.
- Now, if making the tortillas at home, do that now and wrap them in a towel to keep them warm and pliable.
- Next, let's make the chicken by adding all the ingredients to a bowl and mixing well. 1 pound chicken tenders, 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder, 3 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Sear the chicken or grill it until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop into small pieces and set aside.
- For the dressing, add all of the ingredients into a container and mix thoroughly until the dressing is smooth and creamy.
- To assemble, add the lettuce, ½ cup parmesan cheese, 1 cup croutons, and chopped chicken into a large bowl. As well as the dressing and mix thoroughly. Make sure the dressing really coats everything.
- Divide between 4 tortillas.
- To roll the tortilla, fold in the sides and then roll the back into the front. Tightly pressing together as you roll.
- Wrap in parchment paper for a clean cut down the middle and a less messy eating experience.
- Enjoy!

Why You Will Love This Chicken Caesar Wrap
The ingredients are healthy. Personally, I try to prioritize whole foods. If you're like me and do the same then this simple recipe is for you! Add additional gut health to this sandwich as well by making your own sourdough tortillas from scratch!
It's food prep friendly. Make your future self happy by prepping these ingredients in advance. Chop up romaine lettuce and store it in a plastic bag or container with a paper towel to soak up extra moisture. Cook some chicken tenderloins on Sunday to use them all throughout the week. Last but not least, make a large batch of caesar dressing so it's ready to go at any time!
Finally, a chicken caesar wrap is so easy to make. Following this recipe is is simple and straightforward. It may sound gourmet, but it's definitely not challenging to make.
Ingredients

- Chicken tenders - Using organic, free range chicken tenders will help you have the juiciest seared chicken. If you would like to have breaded and fried chicken in your chicken Caesar wrap, feel free to do that instead as well! Chicken breasts will also work well in this wrap or, a rotisserie chicken.
- Romaine lettuce - Perfectly crunchy and a vibrant shade of green, using romaine lettuce is a must!
- Croutons - I definitely recommend using homemade sourdough croutons! If you don't have sourdough bread to make them, just use whatever bread you have on hand! They'll turn out just as great. Of course you can always opt for store bought croutons, too.
- Tortillas - Homemade sourdough tortillas truly take this chicken caesar wrap to another level! Highly, highly recommend. Like always, just buy a healthy version from the store if you don't have time to make your own. For a non sourdough tortilla recipe, I love these homemade flour tortillas.
- Parmesan cheese - A ceasar salad is not complete without parmesan cheese. Neither is a good ceasar dressing.
Homemade Caesar Dressing Ingredients
- Mayonnaise - My favorite brands to use are Chosen Foods or Primal Kitchen!
- Worcestershire Sauce - If you don't have Worcestershire sauce in your pantry, soy sauce is a great substitute for it. Soy sauce can be substituted in equal parts.
- Lemon Juice
- Mustard
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Minced Garlic- In a pinch you can substitute this with garlic powder!
- Salt to taste- Redmond Real Salt is always, always my go to. I get this pack off of Amazon for a pretty affordable price!
- Pepper to taste

Step-By-Step How To Make This Recipe
Step 1: Lettuce
To begin, wash the romaine lettuce and lightly pat it dry. Chop of the end and the tops as well if they are wilted. Cut the lettuce into thin strips and set aside.
Step 2: Tortillas
Second, if making the sourdough tortillas at home, do that first and wrap them in a towel to keep them warm and pliable.
Step 3: Chicken
Next, let's make the chicken. Add the raw chicken tenders, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper into a large bowl and mix until the chicken is all well coated.
Sear the chicken or grill it until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Set aside.
Step 4: Ceasar Dressing
For the Caesar dressing, simply add all of the ingredients into a jar and mix well. This includes the mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, mustard, parmesan cheese, garlic clove, and salt/pepper. I like mixing mine with the hand immersion blender to help it get really smooth and creamy.
Step 5: Assemble
To assemble, start by adding lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, chopped chicken, and dressing to a bowl. Give it a good mix until the dressing really coats everything.

Then, lay the mixture into the center of a tortilla. Fold in the sides of the tortilla then roll the back to the front, creating a "burrito" look.
Optionally, wrap the chicken ceasar wrap in parchment paper to help with mess when eating and to help it travel well if making ahead.

Enjoy!
How to Meal Prep This Chicken Ceasar Wrap
When meal prepping this wrap, it is important to prep the ingredients separately but not combine them together until necessary.
- Have the lettuce chopped, dried, and stored in a Ziploc bag in your fridge ready to be pulled out.
- Sear and chop the chicken and store in a glass Tupperware container.
- Mix up a big batch of the Caesar dressing and store in a mason jar in the fridge.
- Store bought tortillas are probably best for meal prepping these chicken Caesar wraps because they last longer.
- Measure out croutons in small bags and store in the pantry to grab and go.
If wanting to really prepare for the week ahead, pack the lettuce and chopped chicken in a Tupperware container and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Pack a small container of dressing the same container. The morning of, add the measured-out croutons and a tortilla to your lunch bag. Assemble just before eating.
If able to prepare for the day of, simply assemble a wrap in the morning before you head off to work or school.
